Piloto de monitoreo con voluntarios

Luego de ser capacitados en monitoreo, los voluntarios implementaron en campo una encuesta piloto de LM en un distrito pobre de Lambayeque.

After being trained in monitoring, volunteers carried out in the field a HW pilot survey in a poor district of Lambayeque.

Los hogares seleccionados para la encuesta piloto no contaban con servicios de agua y saneamiento. Entre los resultados del piloto, el 85% de los niños tuvo algún tipo de enfermedad respiratoria o diarreica en las últimas dos semanas.

Selected households for the pilot survey did not have water and sanitation services. The pilot showed that 85% of children had some kind of respiratory or diarrheal illness in the past two weeks.

La validación del dispositivo estuvo a cargo de la ILM y contó con el apoyo de un grupo de voluntarios universitarios.

The HW device pre-testing was lead by Peru HW team and supported by a group of university volunteers.

Cerca de 40 voluntarios de la Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo de Lambayeque participaron del taller. Ellos apoyarán la promoción de LM y el monitoreo de las actividades en diversos distritos de la provincia.

About 40 volunteers from Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University of Lambayeque participated in the workshop. They will support HW promotion and monitoring in several districts of the province.

Los voluntarios fueron capacitados en el diseño y monitoreo de proyectos de desarrollo; así como en los objetivos y actividades de la Iniciativa LM. Los participantes incluyen estudiantes de enfermería, derecho, comunicaciones y microbiología.

The volunteers were trained in the design and monitoring of development projects, as well as on the objectives and activities of the HW Initiative. Participants included students of nursing, law, communications and microbiology.
